After receiving your inquiry and if we’re a solid match for the project, I’ll send you everything you need to secure your start date in my calendar. This would include a contract and an invoice for a 50% down payment due before we begin.

Design Direction

If applicable, we begin with exploring some design directions. This could include finding color palettes, fonts, and UI elements that I’ll apply directly to page design concepts or as a visual brand add-on service.

With a visual brand ready to go, we’ll begin with designing a key page of your site. We’ll go through 1-3 rounds of revisions to get all the details right and move on to the next step.

Development

If we are jumping right into development after the approval of the key page design, I’ll use the design direction we established to guide the rest of the website development. Otherwise, I’ll build out the pages we designed on the platform of your choice.

Delivery

Once the entire website has been developed, we’ll take care of any finishing touches and basic SEO setup. I’ll also provide video tutorials on how to update your site moving forward.

Get Started

Reach out and let me know about your project. We’ll talk about the design (whether already done or to be done), how many pages, timeline, and pricing. Once ready to book in you’ll sign the contract and put down a 50% deposit to hold the dates in my calendar.

Development Only

Once your designs are reviewed and approved by your client, we'll move into development. If you have any questions on what’s possible while designing reach out and ask and I’ll let you know. For software I prefer Figma or Adobe XD. This phase usually takes 2–3 weeks. The process starts with the homepage, designed for both desktop and mobile. I’ll share it with you for revisions, then apply your feedback before moving on to the remaining pages. Once the full site is complete, I’ll send it over for final feedback from you and your client. After incorporating those revisions, I’ll prepare everything for development.

Support

I'll put together tutorial documentation for the client so they know how to maintain the site. I also provide info on things to do after launch such as registering with Google Search Console, if applicable. The project fee remainder is due at this time and you’ll have 30 days post support for any small issues or tweaks that arise.

The Checklist                               

These are all the things I’ll need to get started on our project together. Ideally, I’d receive these items at least 4 days before our start date to keep us on schedule.

    • Don’t forget Privacy, Terms, and SEO Titles & Page Descriptions

  • Optimized Images & Videos

    • 500kb / 2000px max

    • Naming convention: Lower case words separated by dash

  • Design References

    • For design only: Website inspiration, brand deck, questionnaires, etc.

    • For development only: A video or written walkthrough going over creative direction and functionality
